Text/sound/code/live artist, b. Seattle 1983.

I make artworks (parafictional performances, sound poems, recordings, ephemera) about language and technological power.

My projects have been presented at Pioneer Works, The Kitchen, the Poetry Project, Artists Space, the Chicago Cultural Center, la Bibliothèque nationale de France, Palais de Tokyo, Goethe-Institut, Festival Actoral, in public libraries in Denmark and Norway, live on Russian tv, and in a great many bookstores, bars, and basements.

I've authored a book of print/sound poetry, Prosthesis; co-created two generative poetry apps, Abra and Vniverse; and produced assorted chapbooks, records, websites, and kinetic screen poems. I'm a member of the performance collective Lucky Pierre, perform with Issac Endo as c:able, and play synth in the award-winning local band SLZY MYLFS.

I have an MFA in Literary Arts from Brown University and a BFA from SAIC. I've taught at Brown; NYU; NJIT; Rutgers, as a Digital Studies Fellow; and the University of Bergen, as a Fulbright Scholar to Norway. Before pivoting to academia, I worked professionally as a full-stack web developer in NY.

As of 2025, I teach in the graduate program at MassArt and I'm a doctoral candidate in Intermedia Art, Writing, and Performance at CU Boulder.
